Reflecting MyData 2.0,
Upgrading 'AI Financial Talk'
SK Telecom will enhance the performance of its financial artificial intelligence (AI) services by applying 'MyData 2.0' this October. SKT currently offers the 'AI Financial Talk' service within the 'PASS' authentication application, which acts as a financial assistant. For example, it analyzes personal financial data using large language model (LLM) technology to answer questions like "How much did I spend on communication fees this month?" or "How much did my food expenses increase compared to last month?" It provides asset analysis such as financial status diagnosis, insurance coverage analysis, and early year-end tax settlement checks. With the application of 'MyData 2.0,' AI will be able to provide even more personalized responses.
According to the business report SKT disclosed on the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 20th, SKT plans to apply the MyData 2.0 announced by the Financial Services Commission last year and upgrade its financial assistant service this October. The existing MyData 1.0 required users to manually select banks or card companies they wanted to view. However, the MyData 2.0 guidelines improved by the Financial Services Commission last year change this to an opt-out system where all financial information is automatically linked, and only unnecessary information is excluded. This allows users to easily check accounts or financial products they may have forgotten, enabling 'AI Financial Talk' to provide more helpful information to users. It also plans to analyze user consumption patterns to suggest future spending plans and recommend financial products tailored to their interests.
Furthermore, with the application of MyData 2.0, data integration between finance and telecommunications will be possible. A Financial Services Commission official stated, "Previously, there were no standards for combining and using information collected through MyData with data held independently by companies, making practical use difficult." They added, "Under MyData 2.0, it is now possible to combine and utilize individuals' financial and telecommunications information." SKT plans to use MyData 2.0 in its subscription services like 'T Wooju' to propose customized subscription products. T Wooju is a package subscription service that collaborates with partners such as Lotte Cinema, CGV, and Baedal Minjok to offer discount benefits.
