DGB Financial Group Launches 7th Batch of ‘Pium Lab’ Startup Incubation Program
Two Tracks Offered: Incubator Track and Open Innovation Track
Selected Startups to Receive Business Support and Office Space in Daegu and Gyeongbuk
DGB Financial Group announced on the 19th that it is recruiting the 7th batch of the startup incubation program ‘DGB Pium Lab’ until the 31st.
Pium Lab was launched in 2019 as the first fintech lab outside the metropolitan area and has selected and nurtured 62 companies until last year. The 7th batch will operate with two tracks: the ‘Incubator Track,’ which supports early-stage startups with potential collaboration opportunities with DGB Financial Group, and the ‘Open Innovation Track,’ which focuses on collaboration with affiliates within the group.
Selected companies will be provided with business scale-up opportunities through collaboration with group affiliates, and professional accelerators will be appointed to offer consulting and investment attraction support necessary for startups. Startups from Daegu and Gyeongbuk will be offered free office space located at the iM Bank 2 main branch.
Customized consulting services such as MyData service consulting and cloud service consulting for startups, as well as mentoring opportunities for expansion into Vietnam through a business agreement with Vietnamese ICT company FPT Software, will also be provided.
Hwang Byung-woo, Chairman of DGB Financial Group, stated, “As 2025 is set as the first year to strengthen non-face-to-face competitiveness, the role of Pium Lab as a communication channel with innovative startups that can bring new ideas to the group is important,” adding, “We will continue to expand support for Pium Lab and strive to create new businesses through collaboration with various startups.”
