He added, "To successfully promote this, it is essential to establish a vision and execution strategies reflecting regional characteristics and for universities to create an education and research ecosystem linked to the regional economy."
In particular, organically combining elements such as higher education innovation linked to regional industries, activation of industry-academia cooperation, establishment of a startup ecosystem, and improvement of residential environments through spatial innovation was presented as the key success factor of the RISE project.
The special lecture also featured active discussions on the strategic directions and implementation tasks of the RISE project that Daejin University should pursue. Meanwhile, since October last year, Daejin University has launched the "Daejin University RISE Promotion Team" dedicated to RISE promotion tasks and is actively working on preparing the RISE proposal and establishing cooperative relationships with related organizations. Along with this, the university plans to prepare concrete implementation plans to successfully establish the RISE project through ▲inviting expert lectures and workshops ▲strengthening industry-academia-linked education and research programs ▲expanding cooperation networks with local governments, companies, and research institutes ▲establishing regional startup support and job creation models.
