Uijeongbu City to Recruit 60 Participants for the 2nd Phase of the Uijeongbu Happy Dream Job Project
Applications Open from the 26th to the 28th
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 19th that it will recruit 60 participants for the ‘2025 2nd Phase Uijeongbu Happy Dream Job Project’ from the 26th to the 28th.
The project period is from May 12 to August 22, and the recruitment fields include a total of two projects: ▲Environmental Cleanup Project ▲Cafeteria and Cooking Support Project.
Eligibility requires Uijeongbu citizens aged 18 to under 65 as of the project start date who have the ability to work, with assets under 400 million KRW, and registered job seekers whose household income does not exceed 70% of the median income standard.
The city prioritizes the selection of vulnerable employment groups such as low-income households (60% or less of the median income standard), and selected participants will be assigned to institutions affiliated with Uijeongbu City and external public institutions.
Citizens wishing to participate should bring identification and relevant certificates during the application period and apply in person at the resident center (Administrative Welfare Center) of their jurisdiction. However, residents of Gosan-dong and Uijeongbu 2-dong can apply at Songsan 1-dong Resident Center and Uijeongbu City Job Comprehensive Support Center, respectively. Successful candidates will be announced in early May after a comprehensive evaluation of participants’ asset status, household income, age, and other factors.
The city aims to provide jobs to citizens, especially giving priority selection opportunities to vulnerable employment groups such as low-income individuals and long-term unemployed. Additionally, after the project ends, outstanding participants will be supported in transitioning to private sector jobs by issuing recommendation letters when they seek employment in private companies.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I hope the Happy Dream Job Project will serve as a stepping stone not only for the livelihood stability of vulnerable employment groups but also for their employment in private sector jobs,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure employment stability for vulnerable groups.”
