The Youth Policy Committee is an organization where youth experts, related public officials, and young people themselves participate directly. It deliberates and decides on major matters related to youth policies and actively reflects the perspectives of young people in the policies.

At this meeting, the progress of projects being promoted in various fields such as youth participation, culture, welfare, housing, and jobs was shared, and discussions were held on ways to expand youth participation in policies and prepare regionally tailored youth support measures.

In addition, the committee deliberated and approved 47 project tasks in the “2025 Youth Policy Implementation Plan (draft),” including 9 new projects. In particular, six new projects selected through the “Youth Autonomous Budget System,” where young people directly propose and design policies during the resident participatory budgeting process, are scheduled to be actively promoted this year.

A youth committee member who attended the meeting said, “I hope that young people can design related projects not just as recipients of policy support but as agents who directly build the city,” adding, “I expect young people to settle in Uijeongbu City and contribute to establishing a sustainable ecosystem.”

An official from Uijeongbu City stated, “We plan to continuously collect young people’s opinions and reflect them in policies,” and added, “We will establish various channels and actively incorporate the voices of youth to promote effective policies.”
