Deepnoid Partners with Smith Detection

AI software company Deepnoid announced on the 19th that it will collaborate with Smiths Detection, a global leader in threat detection and security screening.

Deepnoid will conduct tests integrating its AI technology into Smiths Detection's security screening systems. Deepnoid's AI technology will undergo rigorous testing on Smiths Detection's HI-SCAN 6040-2is handheld baggage X-ray scanner. The tests will evaluate the potential to improve detection speed, accuracy, and efficiency in computed tomography (CT) screening.

This is part of Smiths Detection's responsible open architecture strategy. It is a measure to ensure that third-party AI solutions seamlessly integrate with their technology while maintaining the highest security standards.

The collaboration between Deepnoid and Smiths Detection is part of Smiths Detection's Ada Initiative, which systematically onboards suppliers to integrate hardware, software, and algorithms.

Um Seong-hoon, Head of Smiths Detection Korea in the Asia-Pacific region, said, "This collaboration will be an important opportunity to strengthen partnerships within the region to more effectively respond to the specialized AI requirements of the Korean market," adding, "By providing sophisticated and effective security solutions, it will have a positive impact not only in Korea but also in the global market."

Jo Jae-ik, Executive Director of Deepnoid, stated, "This is a significant milestone for Deepnoid as a game changer in the security AI market," and explained, "Through collaboration with Smiths Detection, we will establish ourselves as a leading company providing innovative AI technology in the global security screening industry."
