"Driving Information on Vehicle Windshield"... Hyundai Mobis Unveils 8 New Technologies

Experience-Oriented Booths at Seoul Mobility Show
First Public Unveiling of Holographic HUD in Korea

The vehicle's front windshield transforms into a display, vividly presenting various driving information. What seemed like an ordinary car suddenly turns its four wheels 90 degrees, drives sideways like a crab, and performs on-the-spot rotations. Next month's Seoul Mobility Show will introduce visitors to next-generation mobility technologies that have stepped into everyday life, no longer just the future but a present reality.

Hyundai Mobis announced on the 19th that it will participate in the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held from the 3rd to the 13th of next month at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, showcasing innovative mobility technologies. Key exhibits include the holographic windshield display (holographic HUD), the MobiOn equipped with next-generation electrified driving technology e-Corner system, and the 'Human-Centric Interior Lighting' that changes the vehicle's interior lighting according to the user's mood and driving conditions.

At this Seoul Mobility Show, Hyundai Mobis plans to create a visitor-centered exhibition space where the general public can directly experience various new mobility technologies. Visitors to the Hyundai Mobis exhibition hall will be able to see live demonstrations of how these new technologies provide unique user experiences.

The most eye-catching new technology is the holographic HUD. The holographic HUD is a next-generation display technology that clearly projects driving information, navigation, music, videos, and other content onto the vehicle's front windshield. It is being jointly developed with the global optics company ZEISS from Germany. This is a new technology with no mass production cases worldwide yet, and this is its first public unveiling in Korea. The holographic HUD was first introduced at CES 2025, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, this past January.

The MobiOn, capable of crab driving sideways and special driving with 360-degree on-the-spot rotation, is also expected to attract visitors' attention. MobiOn is a demonstration vehicle equipped with Hyundai Mobis's next-generation electric vehicle driving technology, the e-Corner system, and communication lighting technology. Visitors to the exhibition can directly board the MobiOn.

Hyundai Mobis will also operate the 'M.Tech Gallery Hall,' a space where visitors can understand the operating principles of the mobility technologies they experience on-site. Professional guides will explain complex and difficult automotive component technologies in an easy-to-understand manner. Additionally, a 'Junior Engineering Classroom' for elementary school students will be held, allowing participants to experience making mini cars that operate using 3D holograms based on the principles of light projection and reflection, as well as solar cell electricity. Classes will be held once in the afternoon on weekdays and six times in total on weekends, with three sessions each in the morning and afternoon.
