The police have launched an investigation into a YouTuber who posted a murder threat against Moon Hyung-bae, Acting Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court.
On the 19th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they received a complaint against YouTuber Yoo (42) on the 14th and have started an investigation on charges of intimidation.
According to the police, Yoo is suspected of posting threatening messages online about killing Acting Chief Justice Moon.
He is known to have posted messages on his YouTube channel such as, "If Moon Hyung-bae does something strange, I will disguise myself and kill him brutally."
Previously, Yoo was subject to a preliminary investigation (internal inquiry) at the Western Seoul Police Station on the same charges.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station plans to consolidate and investigate Yoo's case after receiving it from the Western Police Station and others.
