Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 19th that four low-rise complexes near Irwon Station, located within the Suseo Housing Development District, have consecutively completed detailed safety inspections.

Garama Apartment, which passed the detailed safety inspection last July, was the first in the Suseo Housing Development District to apply for the Rapid Integrated Planning (Sintong Planning) advisory meeting. Thanks to the active cooperation of Seoul City, the advisory meeting was held unusually in November last year despite the fact that the district unit plan amendment for the Suseo Housing Development District had not been officially announced after the public inspection, and as a result, it is expected that the redevelopment speed can be further accelerated.

Sangnoksoo Apartment passed the detailed safety inspection with a conditional reconstruction judgment in June last year, while Hansol Apartment and Cheongsol Village passed this month. Accordingly, all four low-rise complexes near Irwon Station have completed preparations to officially start redevelopment projects.

Gangnam-gu expects that the passing of the detailed safety inspections and the submission to the Sintong Planning advisory meeting will signal a green light for improving the residential environment in the Suseo Housing Development District, including the Irwon-dong area.

Meanwhile, the district office continues to provide steady support to ensure smooth progress of reconstruction projects within the district. Last year, the Reconstruction Dream Support TF was expanded and reorganized, and the responsible advisory committee system, which was piloted in 10 sites, has been expanded to most reconstruction sites, with advisory activities being conducted through visits to each association.

District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong said, “The Suseo Housing Development District, which combines excellent transportation infrastructure such as Subway Line 3 Irwon Station and Suseo Station, and beautiful natural environments like Daemosan and Gwangsusan, is an area with excellent growth potential even within Gangnam-gu. Through rapid and systematic reconstruction projects, we will spare no administrative support at the district level to ensure a pleasant residential environment as soon as possible.”
