Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Participates in Yeomni-dong Promotion Team Appointment Ceremony of Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, participated in the appointment ceremony of the 5th Yeomni-dong Promotion Team of the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation held at 11:30 AM on the 18th in the multipurpose room of Mapo Central Library.

The Promotion Team of the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation promotes the scholarship foundation and its scholarship projects, discovers sponsors to participate in the scholarship projects, and proposes plans for the development of the scholarship foundation. The term of the Promotion Team is two years, and it was first launched in May 2015, established in 16 neighborhoods of Mapo District.

The 5th Yeomni-dong Promotion Team will operate from March 2025 to March 2027. The Promotion Teams for Gongdeok-dong, Mangwon 1-dong, and Yeonnam-dong were appointed in 2024, and the Sangam-dong Promotion Team is scheduled to be additionally appointed on the 24th of this year.

The event was attended by about 15 people, including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Moon Jeong-ae, Head of the Promotion Team, 12 team members, and Han Il-yong, Chairman of the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.

The appointment ceremony proceeded in the order of awarding appointment certificates to the Promotion Team members by the Chairman of the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, greetings by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, introduction of major activities of the Promotion Team, and discussion on ways to revitalize the Promotion Team.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “I hope the 5th Promotion Team will serve as a bridge for nurturing talent and educational development in Mapo,” and added, “Mapo District will continue to create better scholarship systems so that the youth of Mapo do not give up on their precious dreams.”
