Cultural and Artistic Events Every Last Weekend Until November

The "Guseokguseok Cultural Delivery" in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do will be held over a period of eight months.
The Hwasun-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Koo Bokgyu) announced on the 18th that the "A Day with Cherry Blossoms Part 2" event will be held on the 29th and 30th at Dongguri Lake Park in Hwasun, Jeollanam-do.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Jeollanam-do, and Hwasun-gun, and organized by the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, Jeollanam-do Cultural Foundation, and Hwasun-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation, this is the first public contest project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Regional Culture Promotion Agency. It will be held on the last weekend of every month from this month until November.
On the 29th, the last weekend of this month, the first event will welcome visitors at Dongguri Lake Park with the theme of "cherry blossoms." There will also be busking performances, pottery experiences, and woodworking experiences. Under the concept of "forest," there will also be experiential events related to environmental circulation and recycled goods.
Hwasun Dongguri Lake Park is famous for its well-maintained trees and, in spring, its flower paths lined with cherry blossoms and azaleas in full bloom, making it a popular destination for visitors from Gwangju and nearby areas.
Chairman Koo Bokgyu said, "We are taking the first step for the 2025 Guseokguseok Cultural Delivery," and added, "As this event will be held every month until November this year, we ask for the active participation and interest of our residents."
