The Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) Companion Animal Industry Specialized University Innovation Research Park (I-URP) Project Group is announcing a call for industry-academia collaboration technology development projects in the companion animal industry.
The Silla University Companion Animal Industry Specialized University Innovation Research Park (I-URP) Project Group is promoting this call to enhance the technological competitiveness of the companion animal industry in the Busan region and to support the growth of related companies.
This call, which is open until April 4, is available to any company with an address in Busan, regardless of whether it is the headquarters, branch, or research institute. After a screening process, a total of 15 companies will be selected for their projects.
The I-URP Project Group will provide up to 15 million KRW in funding for R&D and up to 20 million KRW for R&BD to companies selected through this call. With this support, companies will be able to accelerate technological innovation and commercialization through various activities such as prototype development, intellectual property applications, and academic paper presentations and publications.
It is expected that, based on the university's infrastructure and technological capabilities, practical technology development outcomes will be achieved in cooperation with local companies.
Bae Ilkwon, head of the Silla University I-URP Project Group, stated, "In addition to supporting technology development, we will focus even more on discovering new companies and activating industry-academia-research cooperation," and added, "Through this call, we will spare no effort to actively support innovative companies in Busan's companion animal industry sector so they can grow."
The Silla University I-URP Project Group plans to actively contribute to the revitalization of the companion animal industry ecosystem in Busan through various industry support programs, including private accelerator programs, specialized workforce training, and provision of startup spaces, in addition to technology development support.
