Mokpo National University Recruiting Participants for 'Science Gifted Nurturing' Program

The National Mokpo University (President Song Hacheol) Science Gifted Education Center announced on the 18th that it is recruiting 65 elementary and middle school students to participate in the '2025 Science Gifted Nurturing' program until the 4th of next month.

The 'Science Gifted Nurturing' program is designed for students from 3rd grade in elementary school to 1st grade in middle school, utilizing weekends and school vacations. It offers a convergent science education that combines theoretical lessons and practical training in energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and bioscience, along with field experience activities.

A total of 65 students will be selected: 45 for the elementary course (3rd to 5th graders residing in Jeonnam or within the province), and 20 for the middle school course (6th graders in elementary school to 1st graders in middle school residing in Jeonnam or within the province). Students will be chosen through a document screening (self-introduction letter) and a creative interview. There are no application or tuition fees.

The National Mokpo University Science Gifted Education Center has been operating since 2004 with funding from the Science and Technology Promotion Fund and the Lottery Fund, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.
