‘GoGo Camp’ Election Office Opening Ceremony on the 19th
Joo Cheolhyeon, Lee Gaeho, and 600 Attendees Gather

Lee Jaejong, the Democratic Party candidate for Damyang County Governor, will hold an opening ceremony for his election office, called the 'Gogo (Go to Hometown) Camp,' as well as an inauguration ceremony for his election committee at 2:00 p.m. on the 19th at 1087 Jukhyang-daero, Damyang-eup.
The event will be attended by Joo Cheolhyeon, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Party, Lee Gaeho, Regional Chairman for Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, and Jangseong, as well as a large number of current and former members of the National Assembly, metropolitan and local council members, and other regional political figures.
On the same day, a joint inauguration ceremony will also be held for the Democratic Party Jeonnam Provincial Election Committee for the April 2nd by-election and the Lee Jaejong Election Committee. Joo Cheolhyeon will serve as the standing election committee chair for the provincial party, while the overall co-chairs will be Park Jiwon (Haenam, Wando, Jindo), Lee Gaeho (Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Jangseong), Seo Samseok (Yeongam, Muan, Shinan), Shin Jeonghun (Naju, Hwasun), and Kim Wonui (Mokpo).
The joint election committee chairs will include Kwon Hyangyeop (Suncheon, Gwangyang, Gokseong, Gurye-eul), Cho Gyeweon (Yeosu-eul), Kim Moonsu (Suncheon, Gwangyang, Gokseong, Gurye-gap), Moon Geumju (Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, Gangjin), and Kim Taegyun, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council. A large-scale "one team" election committee of 303 members will be launched.
In addition, for Lee Jaejong's election committee, Lee Gaeho will serve as the standing election committee chair, and the co-chairs will include former preliminary candidates Kim Jeong, Kim Yongju, and Kim Jongjin, who participated in the primaries. The senior advisory group will be led by former Damyang County Governor Choi Hyeongsik, while Park Jongwon and Lee Gyuhyeon, Jeonnam Provincial Council members, and Choi Yongman, Damyang County Council member, will serve as heads of the election campaign headquarters. Over 300 people, including the heads of each town and township council, are participating in the election committee.
Candidate Lee said, "I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who joined the election committee, and as a united Democratic Party team, I will take the lead in ending internal strife and achieving a change of government. Based on the connections and experience I have gained while serving closely with the president as someone born and raised in Damyang, I will dedicate myself to the development of my hometown."
Meanwhile, Lee was born in Subuk-myeon, Damyang, and has served as a Blue House administrator, Democratic Party central deputy spokesperson, chief spokesperson for Moon Jaein's presidential campaign in Gwangju, and head of policy media for the Democratic Party's Gwangju City Party. Most recently, he was appointed as the chairman of the Democratic Party's Damyang County Tourism Industry Development Special Committee.
