Prevention of Safety Accidents
Improving Awareness of the Agricultural Work Environment
The Buan-gun Agricultural Technology Center in Jeonbuk is conducting 'Agricultural Work Safety and Accident Prevention Training' for approximately 550 farmers from the 12th of this month to the 4th of next month.
According to the Agricultural Technology Center on the 18th, this training has been organized to prevent the sharp increase in agricultural machinery safety accidents and tick-borne infectious diseases (Tsutsugamushi disease, Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome) that occur ahead of the full-scale farming season.

The training consists of two programs: tick-borne infectious disease prevention education in cooperation with the Honam Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and agricultural machinery safety training for female farmers, which received a great response when conducted last year.
The training includes both theoretical education on the characteristics and prevention of infectious diseases, as well as hands-on sessions on the proper use of personal protective equipment and the operation of agricultural machinery.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We will continue to promote education to strengthen farmers' safety practices, provide support for safety protective equipment, foster safe and accident-free farming villages, and carry out ongoing safety and accident prevention campaigns to improve awareness of the agricultural work environment and make accident prevention a part of daily life."
