Verification results showed that the AI fire extinguishing foam system completely blocked the fire vehicle within one minute and demonstrated functions such as △suppressing thermal runaway △preventing fire spread △blocking smoke and dust △perfect fire suppression through foam flooding.

Due to the characteristics of electric vehicle fires, initial suppression with a fire extinguisher is difficult, making oxygen supply cut-off through suffocation extinguishing methods effective. Accordingly, the company explained that considering the recent frequent fire accidents, it purchased an actual electric vehicle to conduct on-site verification.

The AI fire extinguishing foam system is equipped with a function that automatically forms a fire barrier immediately upon fire detection to suppress flames and prevent spread. It can operate unmanned 24 hours a day, reducing security burdens and preventing secondary damage.

While existing fire extinguishing foam systems detected fires only through thermal imaging, MGN Solution’s product integrates various technologies such as AI video analysis, thermal imaging, smoke detection, concentration checking, and flame detection to improve accuracy. It is also designed to detect and immediately suppress fires even during electric vehicle charging.

Recently, the government announced the ‘Comprehensive Electric Vehicle Fire Safety Measures for Underground Parking Lots,’ which mandates the installation of fire detection and spread prevention equipment in all newly constructed underground parking lots that include electric vehicle charging facilities to strengthen electric vehicle fire response. Along with this, to develop systematic and comprehensive response technologies related to electric vehicle fires, the government plans to invest 24.8 billion KRW in six R&D projects and 31.3 billion KRW in developing sensors and robots that support firefighters’ fire suppression and life search operations.

In line with these government policies, MGN Solution anticipates business growth related to the expansion of electric vehicle fire suppression equipment. A company representative said, “Most newly constructed apartments recently mandate electric vehicle charging facilities,” adding, “Through this test, we have laid the groundwork for sales to reflect this in new apartment designs.” They further stated, “We expect our products, which have a track record of supplying national projects, local governments, and large corporations, to gain attention following the government’s strengthened fire response policies.”
