Following the financial authorities' recent policy to establish an autonomous security system, the adoption and utilization of digital new technologies in the financial sector have become more flexible, while accountability for incidents has been strengthened. As a result, the importance of the ISMS-P certification system, which is based on autonomous security, is expected to continue increasing. In fact, the total number of certification audits conducted by the Financial Security Institute since 2015 has expanded from 27 cases to 128 cases. Among these, ISMS-P audits that include the personal information protection area have increased elevenfold (from 4 cases to 45 cases) since the first audit in 2019.

Park Sang-won, President of the Financial Security Institute, stated, "Information security and personal credit information protection are essential core requirements in the digital innovation of financial services," adding, "The Financial Security Institute will continue to actively support the establishment and operation of effective autonomous security systems not only for existing financial services but also for digital asset services, whose importance has increased."
