According to Uijeongbu Light Rail Transit, around 5:15 a.m. on the 18th, a malfunction occurred in the train operating across the entire light rail line.
As a result of this incident, train operations were halted on all sections, and passengers experienced inconvenience as they could not use the trains.
The Uijeongbu Light Rail Transit authorities conducted emergency repair work and resumed service after 7 a.m. However, trains are currently operating at reduced speeds manually across the entire line.
A Uijeongbu Light Rail Transit official stated, “It appears that the operation was suspended due to a signal malfunction caused by the heavy snowfall,” adding, “Train operations have now resumed on all sections.”
