Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 18th that it will support 90% of the purchase cost for small business owners buying barrier-free kiosks.

Gwangmyeong City "Supports 90% of Barrier-Free Kiosk Purchase Costs for Small Business Owners"

The support target is small business owners participating in the 'Smart Store Technology Dissemination Project' hosted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service, which accepts applications until the 21st. This project supports up to 70% of the purchase cost for barrier-free kiosks, and the city separately provides 20% support from city funds within a limit of 1,425,000 KRW. Accordingly, small business owners only need to bear 10% of the kiosk purchase cost.

The 'Smart Store Technology Dissemination Project' supports the introduction of smart devices such as unmanned information kiosks, table orders, serving and delivery robots, and automatic payment systems to improve the management efficiency of small business owners. This year, priority is given to installing barrier-free kiosks that are convenient for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and the elderly. The support amount is up to 5 million KRW.

Among the Smart Store Technology Dissemination Project, the city's support target is the 'general type.' The 'general type' means purchasing ready-made products from suppliers listed on the Small Enterprise and Market Service Smart Store website. Those interested can apply for the barrier-free kiosk installation support project on the Smart Store website.

The city plans to provide 20% support from city funds for the purchase cost of table orders, which will also target the 'general type' purchasing ready-made products, with a separate announcement scheduled for next month. For more details, check the notice board on the Small Enterprise Smart Store website or contact the Gwangmyeong City Self-Employment Support Center.

Park Seung-won, mayor of Gwangmyeong City, said, "I hope small business owners can improve management efficiency and secure competitiveness by adopting smart technology amid the economic downturn," adding, "We will continue to provide various support so that small business owners can adapt to the changing consumer environment and grow."
