Both ruling and opposition parties are expected to question Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and others about the circumstances under which South Korea was included in the U.S. Department of Energy's 'Sensitive Countries and Other Designated Countries List' (SCL) and the future response plans. They are also anticipated to probe the reasons behind the delayed recognition of South Korea's inclusion.

Meanwhile, the Korea-U.S. Parliamentary Alliance, composed of over 160 lawmakers from both parties, is reportedly considering sending a letter to the U.S. Department of Energy and others demanding the withdrawal of South Korea's listing on the SCL. The parliamentary alliance is expected to decide on sending the letter after observing discussions between the two governments.
