Accelerating the Race to Secure Talent
SK Hynix has launched recruitment for new employees in the first half of this year. As a speed race for securing talent unfolds, it is expected that a three-digit number of hires will be made through this recruitment.
According to the industry on the 17th, SK Hynix announced the '2025 First Half SK Hynix New Employee Recruitment' on the same day. The deadline is until the 28th. The recruitment targets are those who are expected to graduate or have already graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year university and are available to join between July and August this year. The workplaces are Gyeonggi Icheon and Bundang campuses, and Chungbuk Cheongju campus.
The recruitment fields include Tech Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing roles such as R&D process, PGK (Package) development, mass production technology, patent development, foundational technology (infrastructure), and utility technology. Those who pass the document screening will proceed to the written test 'SKCT (SK Competency Test)' next month and the interview schedule in May, after which the final successful candidates will be decided.
SK Hynix has recently accelerated talent acquisition by conducting consecutive new and experienced hires. This move is interpreted as an effort to maintain leadership in high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and secure technological competitiveness amid the rapidly increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors. The scale of this recruitment is known to be in the three digits.
Previously, SK Hynix conducted seven rounds of new and experienced recruitment over the course of last year. There were three rounds of new employee recruitment in March, July, and September, and experienced employee recruitment including general experienced positions and junior talent tracks was conducted twice per half-year. The junior talent track targets semiconductor-related professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience, offering the advantage of early deployment of prepared personnel. Earlier this year, SK Hynix simultaneously conducted regular recruitment (March) and fast-track (February) processes to hire university graduates (technical office positions) as well as full-time production staff.
In addition, SK Hynix opened the career recruitment information website 'Monthly Hynix Talent' on the 10th and decided to post new recruitment announcements monthly through the website.
This month, recruitment for experienced employees is underway in areas such as HBM circuit design, HBM logic die testing/silicon mass production verification, product management, and advanced PKG development. The deadline is until the 24th.
