Yangju City Launches Labor Safety Guardians... Leading the Establishment of Safety Culture in Industrial Sites

According to Yangju City on the 17th, the city has officially launched the ‘2025 Yangju City Labor Safety Keeper’ project to firmly establish safety at labor sites and further promote a safety culture across the entire industry.

To this end, the city recently selected four elite ‘Labor Safety Keepers’ and, in order to equip them with thorough expertise, commissioned 40 hours of basic industrial safety training through the Korea Industrial Safety Association from the 10th to the 14th.

Starting from this day, they will begin practical activities after on-site training and orientation, fulfilling their fundamental mission to ensure safety at labor sites.

The ‘Labor Safety Keepers’ are entrusted with important responsibilities to prevent industrial accidents, including inspecting compliance with industrial safety regulations at construction and manufacturing sites within the jurisdiction, guiding workers on the proper use of personal protective equipment, supporting risk assessment practical training, and operating patrols at high-risk workplaces in cooperation with related organizations such as the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

Additionally, by conducting joint inspections and safety awareness campaigns on the ‘Labor Safety Day,’ designated as the first week of every month, they plan to fundamentally improve the working environment.

We ask all business owners to actively cooperate so that a culture of safety can take root even in small-scale industrial sites.”
