Programs Including Busking, Photo Zones, and Cherry Blossom Library
to Be Held Along the Gyeyangcheon Walking Trail
Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byung-su) announced on the 17th that it will hold the ‘2025 Gimpo Cherry Blossom Festival’ for two days from April 5 to 6 along the Gyeyangcheon Stream walking trail, a representative cherry blossom spot in Gimpo.
This festival is hosted by Gimpo City for the first time and jointly organized by the Gimpo Cultural Foundation and Gimpo Bon-dong Administrative Welfare Center. It is planned so that citizens can enjoy various cultural events under the warm light pink cherry blossoms.
The festival will feature various programs set against the backdrop of cherry blossoms, including ▲ busking and cultural performances ▲ cherry blossom photo zones ▲ cherry blossom library ▲ flea market and food zones, offering special memories to citizens and visitors.
In particular, to provide a relaxing cherry blossom viewing and healing space, a ‘Rest’ cherry blossom library will be operated where visitors can enjoy reading and borrow books amid the flowing waves of blooming cherry blossoms.
Moreover, since the beautiful current Gyeyangcheon cherry blossom path is the result of the voluntary efforts and care of the residents of Gimpo Bon-dong, the festival is planned and operated together with the Gimpo Bon-dong Administrative Welfare Center, reflecting the wishes of local residents, with the aim of growing it into a representative spring festival.
For safe and smooth festival operation, the festival section of the road along the Gyeyangcheon walking trail will be closed from 10 a.m. on April 4 to 10 p.m. on April 6.
A Gimpo City official said, “We hope this cherry blossom festival will be a precious time for citizens to fully enjoy the warm atmosphere of spring,” and added, “We look forward to many people visiting Gyeyangcheon to enjoy the various programs along with the cherry blossoms.”
