Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) participated in the "Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign" on the 17th to raise awareness about the problems of low birth rates and aging population, and to promote social consensus on these issues.

This campaign, under the slogan "Let us strive to make Korea a country where children are happy, youth nurture hope, and the elderly find fulfillment," has been promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare since October last year. Various sectors, including local governments, public institutions, and corporations, are participating in a relay format.

The corporation joined the campaign after receiving the baton from the Buk-gu Facilities Management Corporation of Gwangju, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility management by hoping to raise citizens' interest and change perceptions regarding declining birth rates and the risk of regional extinction.

Cho Ikmoon, President of Gwangju Transportation Corporation, stated, "The population issue is a social challenge that everyone, not just specific organizations or individuals, must pay attention to and work to solve," adding, "I hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to build consensus for addressing low birth rates and the risk of regional extinction."

Meanwhile, the corporation designated the Gwangju Social Service Center and the Gwangju Volunteer Center as the next participants in the campaign.
