He continued, "I was deeply comforted by the words that people found happiness and strength in life through my brother's music," and said, "Seeing so many people who are deeply saddened and grieving, I also felt envious that someone could love another so passionately and deeply."

He said, "Although he struggled with many negative emotions that were hard to overcome and unexpected painful situations, my brother never stopped his efforts to create beautiful music while maintaining his passion for singing," and added, "We earnestly hope that the works he created during these times, which have come to see the light of the world, will never be forgotten, and our family will protect them."

He also said, "Regarding the condolence money, we will consult with experts in the relevant fields later to find the best sustainable way to use it."

Wheesung was found collapsed at around 6:09 p.m. on the 10th at his home, an apartment located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The police requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service and announced that they received a preliminary verbal opinion stating 'cause of death unknown.'
