Gwangyang City to Provide Up to 2.4 Million Won in Housing Support for Young Job Seekers

18 to 45-Year-Olds with Household Income at or Below 150% of the Median Eligible

Gwangyang City, Jeonnam (Mayor Jung Inhwa) announced on the 17th that it will be accepting applications for the 2025 Youth Employment Housing Support Program until the 28th.


The Youth Employment Housing Support Program provides cash assistance of up to 200,000 KRW per month for a maximum of 12 months to young people living in jeonse or monthly rental housing to promote housing stability. Applications can be submitted in person at the local eup, myeon, or dong administrative offices according to the applicant's address.

The number of recipients this year is the same as last year, with 53 people to be selected. If there are more applicants than available spots, priority will be given to those with the lowest recognized household income ratio compared to the median income. Eligible applicants are youth workers and business owners aged 18 to 45 who have registered addresses in Gwangyang City, whose recognized household income is 150% or less of the standard median income, and who are non-homeowners living in housing with a jeonse loan of at least 50 million KRW or a monthly rent of 600,000 KRW or less.


Applicants must meet all eligibility criteria as of the application date. The following are excluded from applying: ▲recipients of housing benefits for low-income households ▲public officials and public employees working for the national or local government ▲military personnel ▲recipients of housing-related financial support ▲recipients of similar government or local government housing support programs, and others.
