"Lexus Launches Flagship SUV LX 700h Featuring New Concept Parallel Hybrid System"

Lexus Korea Officially Launches the LX 700h on the 17th

Lexus Korea launched the flagship sport utility vehicle (SUV) 'THE ALL-NEW LX 700h' in the domestic market on the 17th.

The 4th generation LX 700h model introduced by Lexus this time inherits the reliability, durability, and off-road driving performance of the existing LX, while implementing sophisticated driving performance by adopting a newly developed parallel hybrid system and an improved 'GA-F platform.'

Lexus equipped the new LX 700h with a new parallel hybrid system. A motor generator (MG) with a clutch is placed between the 3.5ℓ V6 twin-turbo engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission. This effectively delivers the powerful output and torque of the engine and motor to the road surface, and automatically controls engine-only or motor-only driving in the optimal way depending on the driving situation.

Additionally, the system is designed with a standard alternator and starter so that emergency driving is possible with the engine alone even if the hybrid system stops. To secure water fording performance equal to that of conventional engine vehicles (700 mm), a new waterproof structure was applied to the hybrid main battery.

The LX 700h applies an improved 'GA-F platform' to further enhance the vehicle's basic performance, such as lowering the center of gravity, weight reduction, and increased body rigidity. While maintaining the same minimum ground clearance as the internal combustion engine model, the position of the spare tire was adjusted to balance off-road performance and maintenance convenience.

Lexus reinforced the rigidity around the radiator support and added patch-type reinforcements to improve steering responsiveness in the LX 700h. The 'Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS)' newly designed the valve structure of the actuator to smoothly adjust damping force even on rough roads.

The exterior design is based on the theme of 'elegant sophistication,' inheriting the best off-road performance while being designed to make a strong presence even in urban areas. The interior maintains a linear horizontal design to emphasize a wide sense of openness and is designed to provide a stable balance even on rough roads.

In particular, semi-aniline leather is used on the seats to minimize occupant fatigue. The front seats are equipped with a headrest design that provides comfortable seating regardless of passenger height differences and an optional 'refresh seat' with a massage function.

The 4-seat VIP grade is designed to allow occupants to experience the feeling of being in a top-class lounge. The independent second-row rear seats feature large headrests and refresh seat functions, and the right rear seat is equipped with an 'Ottoman' function that creates a zero-gravity posture, freeing the body without pressure on specific parts.

Furthermore, the upgraded safety feature 'Lexus Safety System Plus,' the infotainment system 'Lexus Connect,' and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on all trims. Additionally, the Mark Levinson sound system with 25 speakers delivering 360-degree surround sound is installed as standard.

The prices of the Lexus LX 700h are ▲4-seat VIP 194.57 million KRW ▲5-seat Overtrail 165.87 million KRW ▲7-seat Luxury 167.97 million KRW (including VAT, individual consumption tax 3.5%).
