The Daesan Cultural Foundation announced on the 17th that it is accepting submissions for the Daesan Youth Literature Award until the 30th, targeting middle and high school students nationwide as well as youths of the corresponding age group.

For the 33rd Daesan Youth Literature Award, applicants can submit their works online (5 poems and 1 novel manuscript of about 60 pages) along with a recommendation letter from their school principal (or from the head of their affiliated organization for non-enrolled youths).

The awards include ▲Gold Prize (1 winner each for middle school poetry and novel, 1 to 2 winners each for high school poetry and novel, totaling 6 winners) with a scholarship of 1.5 million KRW ▲Silver Prize (1 winner each for middle school poetry and novel, 3 to 4 winners each for high school poetry and novel, totaling 10 winners) with a scholarship of 700,000 KRW ▲Bronze Prize (about 1 winner each for middle school poetry and novel, about 5 winners each for high school poetry and novel) with a scholarship of 500,000 KRW. Additionally, all participants of the literary camp will receive a certificate of completion and will be granted eligibility to participate in Jeoljeong Literature Society, a literary club supported by the foundation after high school graduation.

The Daesan Youth Literature Award first selects about 70 candidates through the submission process, then holds a literary camp and a writing contest during the summer vacation to choose the final winners. The literary camp lasts for 3 days and 2 nights. It features various programs including literature classes, individual work guidance, sports and cultural activities, and talk concerts with senior writers, all conducted with the participation of the judges and the candidates.

The selected works will be published in the "Daesan Youth Literature Award Anthology."
