Powertrains Covering Electric, Gasoline, and Diesel
Volkswagen Korea announced on the 17th that it will aggressively target the market by launching new cars every month during the first half of the year.
Through consecutive new car launches, the lineup will be balanced with internal combustion and electrified models, responding to the SUV market, which has emerged as a core segment in the domestic market. Additionally, it plans to strengthen its leadership in the hatchback market, where it has secured a unique position.
Volkswagen Korea officially launched the 8th generation facelift model, the ‘New Golf,’ this month, aiming to rebuild the domestic hatchback market. In February, it released the best-selling pure electric SUV with significantly enhanced product appeal, the '2025 ID.4.'
In April, deliveries will begin for the electrification core model, the coupe-style pure electric SUV 'ID.5.' In May, the large gasoline SUV 'Atlas' will make its domestic debut. The Atlas is expected to make a strong presence in the growing large SUV market with its powerful performance, spacious interior, and advanced technology features.
In June, the 8th generation facelift model 'New Golf GTI' is also preparing for an official launch. It will offer sporty style design and the best dynamic driving performance available in a compact car.
Til Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea, said, "This will be an important year for Volkswagen Korea to take a step forward based on an attractive model lineup that meets the needs of Korean customers," adding, "We will firmly establish ourselves as a leading brand in the SUV and electric vehicle markets and as the most preferred brand by Korean customers."
