Hansung Cleantec announced on the 17th that it will participate in '2025 WATER KOREA,' a specialized exhibition in the water industry sector, held at KINTEX in Goyang City from the 19th to the 21st.
Hansung Cleantec is an industrial water treatment specialist company providing total environmental solutions across the industry, including design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning of water treatment facilities necessary for semiconductor ultrapure water, pure water production, seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, and reuse systems.
At this exhibition, Hansung Cleantec, together with its subsidiary EN Water, will showcase a model of the semiconductor-grade ultrapure water production process applied in the domestically developed ultrapure water demonstration plant, as well as research achievements for producing high-efficiency and eco-friendly bamboo activated carbon for ultrapure water pretreatment processes.
A company representative stated, “During the exhibition, many visitors including companies in the water industry, government officials, university researchers, and water-related professionals are expected to visit our booth,” adding, “We anticipate that associations, government agencies, and water-related companies from various countries overseas will show great interest in Hansung Cleantec’s ultrapure water technology.”
Hansung Cleantec is striving to reduce dependence on overseas technology and secure national industrial competitiveness through the ‘Ultrapure Water Localization’ project, which was selected as one of the ‘Top 100 National R&D Achievements of 2023’ by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Based on the successful execution experience and accumulated know-how of the ultrapure water localization demonstration plant, the company has carried out the design, equipment procurement, construction, and commissioning of large-capacity ultrapure water manufacturing facilities at SK Siltron in Gumi, and is currently performing design and construction of high-purity hygienic pure water facilities for Lotte Biologics.
Recently, Hansung Cleantec signed a contract to supply ultrapure water facilities to a semiconductor chemical production plant in the United States, attracting significant attention regarding technological independence in the domestic ultrapure water market.
A Hansung Cleantec official said, “The deteriorated order environment in the upstream industry caused by the global semiconductor industry downturn since last year is gradually improving along with comprehensive structural reforms and a shift to a profit-centered business model,” adding, “We will secure differentiated competitiveness in the industrial water treatment sector by diversifying our business areas into semiconductors, bio, and secondary batteries through new order acquisitions.”
Meanwhile, Hansung Cleantec is developing technology to reuse high-concentration silicon wastewater and concentrates generated in the industry as part of its transition to a technology-centered company structure. Together with its subsidiary EN Water and Vietnamese environmental company Green Future, it is also aiming to enter the activated carbon material business necessary for water treatment processes and various industries.
