Campus Vesta, where the training will take place, is known as a hub of European firefighting education, offering customized courses specialized in live fire training. Firefighters from around the world visit this facility to receive live fire response training.
Notably, the training will be led by Karel Lambert, a world-renowned live fire instructor who has served as a battalion chief at the Brussels Fire Department in Belgium, delivered more than 500 international lectures, and authored numerous books on fire suppression.
The participating instructors will learn fire analysis and suppression techniques in environments simulating real fire scenes and acquire effective teaching methods.
They will also conduct fire response training that takes into account various fuel conditions and building structures, aiming to maximize their response capabilities in realistic settings.
Meanwhile, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Fire Department is currently building standard five-type live fire training facilities in the Jangsu area, which are scheduled to begin full-scale operation in the second half of this year.
The fire department plans to apply the advanced training methods acquired through this program to local live fire education courses, further enhancing the on-site response abilities of firefighters.
Lee Osuk, Chief of the Jeonbuk Fire Department, stated, "The goal of this training is to further enhance the expertise of our live fire instructors and, based on that, strengthen the fire response capabilities of Jeonbuk firefighters." She added, "We will continue to operate systematic and high-level training programs to do our utmost in protecting the safety of our residents."
