Jeonju City Recruiting 'Dadungi Card Discount Merchants' Until the 11th of Next Month

Free Admission to Ecological Museum and Zoo,
Plus Additional Benefits for Dadungi Card Holders

Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province is publicly recruiting ‘Our Children Together Nurturing Dadungi Card Discount Partner Stores’ for public and private paid facilities as well as local business owners in Jeonju until July 11.

According to the city on the 17th, this recruitment is being conducted to expand the benefits of the multi-child family preferential card (Dadungi Card), which had previously been limited to public facilities. The ‘Dadungi Card’ is issued to families registered in Jeonju with two or more children, where at least one child is 18 years old or younger.

Currently, cardholders are offered benefits such as: free admission to Gyeonggijeon and Jeonju Ecological Museum, free entry to the zoo, a 50% discount on Jeonju public (subsidiary) parking lots, and discounts on the use of Jeonju sports facilities (excluding those with separate regulations) ? 20% for families with two children, and 50% for those with three or more children.

However, as these benefits are limited to public facilities, the city has decided to expand practical support for multi-child families by recruiting additional Dadungi Card Discount Partner Stores, offering various types of discounts, reductions, or exemptions on admission, usage, and class fees at major public facilities, as well as discounts at private paid facilities (culture, tourism, experience, accommodation), restaurants, and cafes.

To raise awareness of the low birth rate crisis and overcome the population decline, the city will install plaques at participating ‘Our Children Together Nurturing Jeonju Dadungi Card Discount Partner Stores’ and actively promote them through the Jeonju City website and promotional materials. Further details can be found in the notices and announcements section of the Jeonju City website.

A city official stated, “We ask for the active interest of business owners who wish to contribute to the community and overcome the low birth rate crisis by participating in the recruitment of ‘Our Children Together Nurturing Jeonju Dadungi Card Discount Partner Stores’ to help make Jeonju a city where we raise children together and live in harmony. We will continue to strengthen benefits and expand practical support not only for multi-child households but also for families with newborns and those raising children.”
