My Filmed Video Becomes a 'Control Center'... Seoul City Strengthens Safe Return Home Routes

First Nationwide Launch of Smartphone 'Ansim Video Service'
Citizens Can Now Send Real-Time Videos to Control Centers on Routes Without CCTV
Enhanced Safety Features Added to the Revamped Ansim-i App

From now on, even on remote routes home without CCTV, Seoul's 'Ansim-i App' will allow users to send videos they record to the control center for monitoring. In case of a dangerous situation, immediate police dispatch support will be provided.

Seoul City announced on the 17th that it has completely revamped the Ansim-i App and launched this 'Ansim Video Service.' The Ansim-i App is a safe return home app linked to 110,000 CCTVs across Seoul. When an emergency report is made, the CCTV control centers of the local districts monitor the CCTVs around the user in real time and support rescue efforts.

The newly introduced Ansim Video Service was established to alleviate citizens' anxiety about CCTV blind spots following the 2023 accident on the Gwanaksan Dulle-gil trail. When the Ansim Video Service is activated, the smartphone's flashlight automatically turns on and recording begins. If there are CCTVs nearby, up to three CCTVs around the user along with the smartphone video can be monitored simultaneously.

Videos recorded through the Ansim Video Service are stored on the city’s server for up to 30 days. Users can select the video storage option on the Ansim Video settings page.

Additionally, through the revamp of the Ansim-i App, the main screen, which was previously map-centered, has been rearranged to focus on key services to enhance intuitiveness. The 'Portable Safety Bell (Help Me)' menu has also been moved to the main screen.

Kim Seon-soon, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Women and Family Office, said, "Many people express anxiety in their daily lives, which should be comfortable, due to abnormal motive crimes. Seoul City has newly launched the Ansim Video Service to protect citizens’ daily safety."
