Complex Facility to Be Opened to Local Residents...
A Space Integrating Education and Daily Life
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is set to begin construction on an access road to ensure a safe commuting environment for Dongjin School, a special education school.
On the 19th, the district will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Dongjin School access road construction, marking the first step toward securing convenient commuting routes for students and improving mobility for local residents.
Dongjin School, located at 700 Sinnae-dong, is a special education school with a total floor area of 16,910㎡, consisting of 18 classes and accommodating 111 students. It offers education from kindergarten through high school, as well as vocational training programs such as barista and baking courses for employment after graduation. Notably, it is expected to play a significant role in expanding special education infrastructure in the northeastern area of Seoul, alleviating the burden of long-distance commuting for students and parents.
In addition to educational facilities, Dongjin School will include a complex facility accessible to local residents. The complex, with a total floor area of 3,981㎡, will feature a swimming pool, gymnasium, educational facilities, and shared spaces, serving as a place where students and community members can come together.
Accordingly, the district will construct an access road bridge to improve accessibility to Dongjin School and the complex facility and to ensure the safety of students and residents during travel. Since a safe passage for construction vehicles and equipment is essential for the smooth establishment of the school, the access road construction will be carried out proactively. The bridge will be a two-lane road with a width of 11 meters and a length of 28 meters, with construction scheduled for completion by August.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “Dongjin School is a meaningful facility that provides a better educational environment for students and cultural and sports spaces for local residents. We will do our best to ensure that students and residents can use the facilities more conveniently and safely through this access road construction.”
