A five-day-long walking march from Yeouido National Assembly to Gwanghwamun, urging the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol of the Democratic Party of Korea, is ongoing. Before the Democratic Party's walking march urging President Yoon's impeachment departing from Yeouido National Assembly on the 16th, Floor Leader Park Chan-dae said, "The Constitutional Court must make a swift and resolute decision based on the conscience of the judges."

Since holding the departure ceremony for the walking march on the 12th, the Democratic Party has been continuing street politics by moving about 9 km from Yeouido National Assembly to Gwanghwamun for five consecutive days, urging President Yoon's impeachment.

Floor Leader Park said, "It is the 20th day since the Constitutional Court's oral arguments concluded," adding, "As the verdict is delayed, social instability and confusion are intensifying, and economic damage is also increasing."

He emphasized, "The impeachment judgment of Yoon Seok-yeol must be delivered as soon as possible," and warned, "The longer the verdict is delayed, the more uncontrollable the damage will become, and the confrontation will reach an extreme."

Park also stated, "One million citizens participated in the Gwanghwamun rally demanding the immediate dismissal of President Yoon," and declared, "The Democratic Party will make every effort both inside and outside to end the internal strife quickly and restore peaceful daily life to the people."

The Democratic Party has announced plans to continue the walking march if the impeachment verdict date is not announced the following day. Cho Seung-rae, the senior spokesperson of the Democratic Party, told reporters that day, "Regarding emergency actions, we will continue the basic routine such as walking marches, rallies, and relay condemnations supporting impeachment," and added, "If the impeachment verdict date is set, discussions will be needed on how to respond additionally."
