Supporting Innovative Growth of Companies
Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Technopark announced on the 16th that they will publicly recruit companies to participate in the ‘Gyeonggi Province Innovative Companies Market Expansion Support Project’ from the 17th to April 16.
Launched in 2023, this project aims to strengthen the market competitiveness of innovative companies and prospective innovative companies within the province and to activate public procurement. It operates through three core programs: customized marketing support for innovative products, consulting support for innovative (trial) product designation, and public procurement consultation meetings.
The ‘Customized Marketing Support for Innovative Products’ provides up to 3 million KRW per company to 15 outstanding innovative companies to support market expansion costs. The support funds can be used according to the company’s needs, such as participation in domestic and international exhibitions, overseas market research, marketing, and certification acquisition. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises located in Gyeonggi Province that hold certification for innovative product designation.
The ‘Consulting Support for Innovative (Trial) Product Designation’ offers consulting to 10 selected companies. The consulting includes guidance on the innovative product designation system, review of qualification requirements and suitability, application preparation guidance, and customized one-on-one mentoring. Any small and medium-sized enterprise in Gyeonggi Province wishing to obtain innovative product designation can apply.
The ‘Public Procurement Consultation Meeting’ is a program to enhance awareness and market expansion of Gyeonggi Province’s innovative products. Participating as part of the Gyeonggi Province Innovative Products Pavilion at exhibitions such as the Digital Media Tech Show (DMTS), it promotes Gyeonggi Province’s innovative products to potential buyers. Small and medium-sized enterprises located in Gyeonggi Province holding innovative product designation certification can participate.
Jung Doo-seok, Director of the Provincial Economic Office, said, “Among 1,428 innovative companies nationwide, 462 companies, accounting for 32%, are located in our province, the highest in the country.” He added, “We hope this support project will help alleviate some difficulties faced by innovative companies in the province and encourage local governments and public institutions to take greater interest in purchasing innovative products.”
