Hair-Pulling and Kicking... Fight Among About 10 Men and Women at Konkuk University Entrance

Police: "No Serious Injuries... Currently in Pursuit"

A brawl broke out in the middle of a bustling university area in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and the police are investigating.


The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced on the 14th that around 4 a.m. on the 13th, an incident occurred where about 10 men and women assaulted each other on Konkuk University Food Street in Hwayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and an investigation is underway.


It is reported that they pulled each other's hair, punched each other's faces, and kicked each other.

At the time of the incident, no one was found to be carrying a weapon, and none of those involved were seriously injured or transported to a hospital.


According to the investigation, the individuals, known to be men and women in their 20s, were strangers to each other. The police are currently tracking those involved in the assault.


A police official stated, "Some fled the scene and are being pursued," adding, "Once the pursuit is complete, we will review the specific charges and whether to formally book those involved in the assault."
