Strengthening Collaboration with Gwangju Relocation
Enhancing Sensor and Electronic Component Technologies
Korea Photonics Technology Institute and DH Autoware have joined forces to lead the autonomous vehicle parts market.
According to the institute on the 15th, the two organizations recently signed an agreement for the development of core components and technological innovation in autonomous vehicles. The collaboration aims to strengthen ties in line with DH Autoware's relocation to Gwangju.
Korea Photonics Technology Institute is an organization dedicated to research in optics and related technologies, developing advanced sensor technologies such as cameras, LiDAR, and radar essential for autonomous vehicles, as well as electrification components like power semiconductors.
DH Autoware is an automotive electronics company under DH Group. It focuses on the research, development, and production of core autonomous vehicle components. Last year, it completed a factory in Mexico and began full-scale mass production. This year, the company plans to expand its business by relocating its headquarters to a specialized materials, parts, and equipment complex in Gwangju.
With this agreement, the two organizations have decided to work together to strengthen their competitiveness in the autonomous vehicle market and jointly pursue technological development and optimization of production processes.
