SUV Hits Pedestrian Then Crashes Into Store in Gwangju... Driver Claims 'Vehicle Malfunction'

At around 11:09 a.m. on the 15th, a vehicle hit a pedestrian on a road in Daein-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, and then collided with a 1-ton truck coming from the opposite direction.

The sports utility vehicle (SUV) did not stop after the accident and rushed into a store across the street. The truck, pushed by the impact, hit a roadside tree.

As a result of the accident, a total of four people were injured and taken to the hospital: the SUV driver Mr. A (76), a pedestrian in their 20s, and two people in the truck. All were confirmed to be in stable condition. There were no additional injuries as there was no one in the store the SUV crashed into.
