Jangseong County Holds Ceremony for the Renewal of the 'Traveler Platform'
A New Space for Travel Information and Rest, Inspired by the Chukryeongsan Hinoki Forest
Various Programs Planned for the 'Year of Visiting Jangseong'
Jangseong County in Jeonnam has renovated the 'Traveler Platform' inside Jangseong Station and is now welcoming visitors. Providing travel information and a rest area, this place is expected to become even more vibrant in celebration of the 'Year of Visiting Jangseong.'
According to Jangseong County on the 15th, a ceremony was recently held to commemorate the renewal of the 'Traveler Platform,' attended by over 100 people including Jangseong County Mayor Kim Hanjong, Jangseong County Council Chair Sim Minseop, and officials from the culture and tourism sectors.
The 'Traveler Platform' serves as a space for those visiting Jangseong, providing tourist information and acting as a venue for communication. Starting in April, it will offer various functions such as tourist taxi guidance and souvenir distribution in connection with the 'Year of Visiting Jangseong.'
The newly renovated space is decorated with an interior reminiscent of the Chukryeongsan Hinoki Forest. A wall filled with a tourist map, donated artworks from the Jangseong Art Association, and a green floor finish create a warm atmosphere.
Mayor Kim Hanjong said, "I hope the Traveler Platform will become a comfortable rest area and information space for those visiting Jangseong," and added, "We will successfully lead the 'Year of Visiting Jangseong' and usher in an era of 10 million tourists."
Meanwhile, Jangseong will operate experiential programs such as tourist taxis, stamp tours, and street performances in line with the Jeonnam Sports Festival (April 18-21) and the Jeonnam Para Sports Festival (April 30-May 2). The official ambassador is 'Gamst' (Kim Injik), a YouTuber from Jangseong.
