Dangjin City Launches Safe Housing Lease Contract Service

"Preventing Jeonse and Wolse Fraud"

Dangjin City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 14th that it will launch the "Safe Housing Lease Contract Assistance Service" starting from the 20th, targeting citizens who currently reside in or plan to reside in Dangjin, in order to prevent damages from jeonse and wolse fraud.

The Safe Contract Assistance Service is a program where a Housing Safety Manager, composed of licensed real estate agents recommended by the Chungcheongnam-do branch of the Korea Association of Realtors, provides free one-on-one consultations. The service includes checking real estate registration certificates and building ledgers, analyzing jeonse and wolse market prices, and reviewing building locations?covering all necessary aspects for real estate contracts.

This project was first implemented in 2024. Starting this year, the city will expand eligibility from only young residents of Dangjin to all Dangjin citizens, allowing more people to benefit from the service.

Citizens who wish to receive a consultation can apply online through the Dangjin City Hall website, visit the Real Estate Management Team of the Land Management Division, or apply in advance by phone.

Upon application, citizens can receive detailed consultations regarding jeonse and wolse every Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the "Safe Housing Lease Contract Assistance Service" consultation desk on the first floor of Dangjin City Hall.

An official from the Land Management Division stated, "We hope this will provide practical help to citizens who lack experience with real estate contracts and prevent potential damages that may occur during jeonse and wolse agreements."
