"I Will Tell Everyone So Your Family Can't Show Their Faces"
Threats Made Against Students
A male middle school teacher is accused of sexually harassing his girlfriend, who is a teacher at another middle school, and then forcing two middle school students into his car and taking them to a remote mountain area to threaten them, prompting the education authorities to launch an investigation.
On the 14th, a parent of student A from a middle school in Okcheon, Chungbuk, claimed, "Around 6 p.m. on the 13th, my son and his classmate B were taken by teacher C from a middle school in Cheongju and subjected to verbal abuse and threats." Teacher C is dating teacher D, who is the homeroom teacher of the two students.
According to A’s parent, teacher C picked up A and B, who were at a snack bar after school, put them in his car, and drove around for about 30 minutes, harshly questioning them, "Why did you make sexual remarks about my girlfriend?" The parent alleges that C took them to a secluded mountain area, forced them to hold a large banner that read "I am a sex offender," and tried to take photos against their will.
During this incident, teacher C also allegedly threatened the two students by saying things like, "I will kill you," and "I will tell people around you so your family will be ashamed to show their faces," according to the parent. A’s parent expressed anger, saying, "Teacher C dropped the two students off at a nearby empty lot after about an hour and left. After hearing this from my child, I immediately reported it to the police."
The education authorities are currently investigating the facts. The Okcheon Office of Education and the schools the two students attend stated, "Teacher D has been removed from classes while we assess the situation," and added, "We cannot provide detailed information." Teacher D took a personal day off and did not come to work that day.
