One Winner Selected This Year
Support Includes Activity Funds, Airline Tickets, and Exhibition Opportunity
Ilwoo Foundation, under Hanjin Group, announced on the 14th the launch of the '2025 Ilwoo (一宇) Art Award' competition to nurture world-class artists.
Since its establishment in 2009 as the Ilwoo Photography Award, the Ilwoo Foundation has supported promising emerging and mid-career artists with outstanding talent and passion who have competitiveness on the international stage. Through the competition, 36 photographers were discovered and supported until 2022, and last year it was reorganized into the Ilwoo Art Award.
The Ilwoo Art Award does not restrict genre or medium and targets all works created using photography as part of the creative process. This year, one final winner will be selected to receive a total of 30 million KRW for artwork production activities, airline tickets worth 30 million KRW from Korean Air, and an opportunity for a solo exhibition at 'Ilwoo Space.'
The application period is until the 24th, and applicants can submit their application forms, thematic portfolios, and proposals through the Ilwoo Art Award website.
