Handonghun says in English, "Lee Jaemyung, a really dangerous person"... Democrats respond, "Both facts and grammar are wrong"

Han Dong-hoon Resumes Political Activities After Publishing Book
Democratic Party Claims "The Most Dangerous Person Is Yoon Seok-yeol"

Former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon directly called Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, a "truly dangerous person," while the Democratic Party rebutted Han's English post as a "clear lie with both factual inaccuracies and grammatical errors." On the 13th, Kim Dong-a, a member of the False Information Monitoring Team under the Democratic Party's National Communication Committee, pointed out on social media that Han's use of 'Most Dangerous Man in Korea' was incorrect, stating, "The superlative 'most' must always be used with the definite article 'the' when modifying adjectives or adverbs." Kim emphasized that without 'the,' the phrase means 'most of,' making the sentence itself incorrect.

Furthermore, Assemblyman Kim said, "The most dangerous person in Korea right now is Yoon Seok-yeol, who committed the crime of rebellion but was released from detention and returned to the presidential residence like a hero," adding, "It is like the pot calling the kettle black when those who committed serious crimes such as illegal martial law and rebellion claim someone else is the most dangerous." He continued, "I fully understand the desire of someone who was ousted from the People Power Party without any political capability to seek attention," but urged, "I hope they gain public interest through sincere actions toward the people, not through low-level words and writings."

Earlier, on the 26th of last month, following the publication of his book and after about two months since resigning as party leader, former leader Han resumed political activities, escalating his attacks on Lee by saying he "could declare martial law" and is "the most dangerous person in Korea." The day before, Han shared an article about Lee requesting a constitutional review from the second trial court of the Public Official Election Act and mentioned "dangerous man." This phrase became a topic of discussion as it was used by a foreign journalist who asked Lee directly. When Lee attended a press conference hosted by the Foreign Correspondents' Club in April 2023, a Washington Times reporter asked, "Five close aides of Lee Jae-myung, who was under prosecution investigation, have died. Should we consider Lee Jae-myung a dangerous man?" Lee responded, "I deeply regret that people around me passed away during the prosecution's investigation, not because of their own issues but in the process of investigating me," adding, "I am in no position to have any influence over their deaths."
