NVIDIA and OpenAI Join Forces... Korea's 'AI Global Conference' to be Held

The Ministry of Science and ICT will hold a large-scale conference on the 25th, inviting numerous overseas big tech (major information technology companies) representatives related to artificial intelligence (AI), including Nvidia, AMD, and OpenAI.


According to the industry on the 14th, the Ministry of Science and ICT will host the "AI Global Conference" on the 25th at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, under the theme "Seize the Initiative in Computing Infrastructure, AI Models, and Innovation."


Jung So-young, CEO of Nvidia Korea, and Lee Jae-hyung, CEO of AMD Korea, will attend and open the session. CEO Jung is expected to review the main contents of Nvidia's GTC 2025 event, held from the 17th to the 21st in San Jose, California, USA. CEO Lee will give a presentation related to AMD's computing infrastructure.


Chris LeHane, Vice President in charge of global policy at OpenAI, will deliver a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of AI infrastructure. Minister Yoo Sang-im of the Ministry of Science and ICT will announce policies on the "National AI Capability Enhancement Plan."


In particular, this event is expected to cover both domestic and international AI hardware and software.


US AI infrastructure company "Lambda," which offers subscription services using Nvidia GPUs, along with "TensorWave," which operates cloud business based on AMD GPUs, LG, Naver, Upstage, and Twelve Labs will explore ways for AI computing infrastructure and AI models to create synergy through panel discussions.


Additionally, ▲ Intel, Rebellion, and FuriosaAI will present on AI semiconductors ▲ AWS, Oracle, and NHN Cloud will discuss AI data centers ▲ Google, GaudioLab, and More will present on AI models and service parts.
