Naver to Restructure Organization Next Month... Kim Hee-chul Appointed as New CFO

Naver has appointed Kim Hee-chul, head of the CV Center, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Additionally, the company has established a new Strategic Business Division to expand its global operations, which will be led by Chae Seon-joo, Head of External Affairs and ESG. Naver announced this organizational restructuring plan on the 14th and stated that it will take effect from the 1st of next month.

The newly appointed CFO, Kim, has been responsible for accounting and management control within Naver, playing a key role in financial coordination for Team Naver. He has been recognized for his financial management capabilities, excelling in efficient resource allocation, profit and loss management, and strengthening the accounting control tower function. Naver described Kim as a person with extensive experience and expertise in the IT industry.

The current CFO, Kim Nam-sun, will move to the position of Head of Strategic Investments at Naver. He will focus on expanding corporate venture investments aimed at key strategic investments and discovering future growth engines. Additionally, as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Focimark, based in North America, he will concentrate on strengthening Focimark’s management.

Furthermore, Naver will establish the Strategic Business Division to promote global strategic projects centered on Saudi Arabia. This division will be led by Chae, who pioneered the Saudi Arabian market and currently serves as Head of External Affairs and ESG. Chae will also take on the role of Head of Naver Arabia Corporation.
