Discussion on Small Business Participation and Measures to Prevent Excessive Pricing
On the 14th, Namwon City in North Jeolla Province held the second progress report meeting in the city hall conference room to ensure the successful hosting of the 95th Chunhyang Festival.
According to the city, the meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Min Sunshik and about 40 team leaders in charge of the event. They reviewed the progress and preparations for each event and focused on discussing the issues raised during the first report meeting.
The main topics discussed included encouraging both public officials and citizens to actively participate in wearing Hanbok to enhance the traditional atmosphere of the Chunhyang Festival. Various measures will be prepared to boost citizen participation.
To attract more visitors to the Chunhyang Festival, the city plans to strengthen the promotion of new programs and expand attractions through events such as Daedong Gilnori and nighttime landscape displays. Efforts will also be made to encourage the participation of small business owners to revitalize the local economy, and measures will be put in place to prevent excessive pricing. Additionally, shuttle bus operations will be expanded, and thorough transportation and safety management plans will be established to improve convenience for visitors.
Deputy Mayor Min Sunshik stated, "Since the Chunhyang Festival is a representative traditional cultural festival of Namwon, thorough preparation is essential. Please do your best to address the issues raised at the first report meeting so that both citizens and tourists can fully enjoy the festival."
Meanwhile, the 95th Chunhyang Festival will be held under the theme "The Sound of Chunhyang, Opening the World" from April 30 to May 6 in the Gwanghallu area of Namwon. The festival will feature a variety of performances, traditional cultural experiences, the Global Chunhyang Selection Contest, and many other exciting programs.
