"Promoting Electronic Journals,
Enhancing Self-Directed Learning Skills"
Do you use 'electronic information'?
The Dong-A University Academic Information Center (Director Lee Jeonggwan) held the 10th Electronic Information Fair for the 2025 academic year. This event was organized to promote the use of e-books and e-journals and to help students develop self-directed learning skills through electronic information resources.
On the 13th, about 400 undergraduate and graduate students visited the fair held in the lobby on the second floor of the Dong-A University Hallim Library. At 11 booths set up by the library and participating domestic and international e-journal and e-book providers, students engaged in various hands-on activities. Participants were also given the chance to win prizes such as iPads, Apple Watches, Galaxy Buds, and Dolce Gusto capsule coffee machines through a raffle.
Cho Youngmin (International Trade, 4th year), who attended the event, said, "After participating in last year's event, I discovered academic paper sites and found them helpful not only for assignments but also for extracurricular activities and broadening my knowledge. The difference before and after learning about electronic information is significant, so it is essential for campus life. It is also beneficial because Dong-A University students can use it for free."
Kim Hyeji (Mechanical Engineering, 1st year) said, "As a freshman, there are still many things I don't know, but learning about the library website and apps was a great help." Director Lee Jeonggwan said, "I hope this event provides students with an opportunity to make good use of the various electronic information resources offered by the library."
