CEO Lee Cheong stated, "Many are concerned that China’s fierce pursuit of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) might lead to repeating the same path as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)," but added, "I am confident that if we anticipate changes early and lead with advanced technology, we can continue to drive growth opportunities in the future."

He continued, "Especially as the base of on-device artificial intelligence (AI) expands, OLED penetration in existing markets will accelerate further, and it will combine with new applications such as foldable, rollable, transparent, XR (Extended Reality), and mobility," emphasizing, "This can bring about a transformational change in the industry on a completely different level than before."

CEO Lee Cheong stressed the need for organic cooperation among the government, industry, and member companies, and presented three key tasks to be pursued at the association level: ▲ Realizing an OLED super-gap through technology development for pioneering new markets ▲ Securing micro LED technology and fostering its ecosystem ▲ Establishing a 'Display Academy' linked with major universities to cultivate specialized professionals in advanced OLED fields and nurture practical talent.

Meanwhile, the Korea Display Industry Association has expanded and reorganized its Industrial Policy Office, which handled trade affairs within the association, into the Industrial and Trade Office to strengthen the trade response system against the Trump administration, and has increased trade specialists. Additionally, it plans to operate a 'Display Trade Response Task Force (TF)' involving experts from display companies, research institutes, academia, and global supply chain investigation organizations.
