For First-Year Students at 85 Middle Schools
Character and Community Spirit Fostered Through Experiential Activities
The Busan Student Character Education Institute will run the "Character Growth Experience Program" for first-year students at 85 middle schools in the Busan area from the 17th to November 21.
This program is designed to help students develop the character competencies needed to live harmoniously with others, the community, and nature through hands-on activities.
The program, conducted over two days and one night, includes adventure, challenge, and cultural activities to boost students' self-esteem, as well as healing activities to stabilize their minds and bodies and strengthen their resilience.
This year, the Student Character Education Institute is introducing new healing activities. Static activities such as the healing meditation program "Syuimhyu;)", forest healing activity "Nordic Walking," and "Healing Hammock" will help students form a healthy sense of self and internalize character values.
Kang Naehee, Director of the Student Character Education Institute, said, "Through this community life experience, students will not only engage in activities to build a healthy body, but also greatly enhance their character competencies such as cooperation and respect. I especially hope that the healing activities for self-reflection and the forest healing program will help students grow both physically and mentally."
